Where is Home

The Moroccan Crisis occurred in the context of European contest over north African territory. French control of Morocco was undermined by Kaiser Wilhelm II’s visit to Tangiers in which he declared his support for the Moroccan Sultan Abd al-Aziz bin Hassan. The crisis soured Franco-German relations and strengthened Anglo-French ties.
