Mass Migration from the Commonwealth to Britain

The three decades after the end of the Second World War was a period of mass migration to Europe, as once thriving economies were faced with the task of rebuilding war-ravaged towns and cities and reviving international trade. These decades saw mass migration within and beyond Europe.
