Last meeting of the Interim Government

The Interim Government or provisional government was established on 2nd September 1946. It was tasked to oversee the transition to independence.

The last meeting of the Interim Government took place despite many important matters not having been properly addressed. Many of the governments tasks were deferred to commissions and councils. This highlighted the chaotic and rushed nature of the transfer of power.
