Governor of Bengal says it is essential to have twenty four hours notice of Boundary Award

The Governor of Bengal, Frederick John Burrows contacted Viceroy Mountbatten on the need for at least 24 hours notice of the boundary award that would partition the province. Burrows was keen to make security arrangements before the publication of the Boundary Commission’s award.
