Where is Home

Freddie Mercury

Lead singer of iconic British rock band Queen was born Farrokh Bulsara in the Sultanate of Zanzibar, a British protectorate.

Bulsara hailed from a Parsi or Zoroastrian family with roots in Gujarat. He carried out his early schooling in Bombay and later moved to England after the Zanzibar Revolution of 1964 in which Arabs and Asians were targeted for their privileged status and wealth.
